The main themes of the conference are the applied research of environmental technology, global climate change, eco-efficiency and eco-competitiveness. The conference will be organized by Finnish Society for Environmental Sciences, University of Kuopio and PromidNord-project and it is also the final conference of ProMidNord WP 2. Two plenary speakers and one afternoon session are dedicated to the theme Competitiveness from eco-efficiency. The conference language is English.
The lecturers will be distinguished international and national professionals from different universities, research institutes and governing bodies. Among them are e.g. Prof, Dr. Peter Hennicke, President of Wuppertal Institute, Germany,Director Timo Mäkelä, DG Environment, European Commission, Prof.,Dr. Aage Stori, Vice-President of SINTEF, Norway and Prof., Dr. Ryoichi Yamamoto, Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, Japan.
